Yes I am and it makes the shifts smoother
Yes I am and it makes the shifts smoother
Its been in there a year and half.(actually more like more than three years looking back at my records) Put in at 43k when I got the car 65 k now.) Some have reported mixed results but it worked for me. I had notchiness between 2 and 3 and had do some double clutching sometimes. If you search for adds about rough shifting there will be quite a few threads coming up , or notchy shifting. Doing a search for redline D6 here brings up threads like this http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ght=redline+D6 Last edited by ctuna; 12-21-2014 at 09:08 PM.. |

Yes, shifts are great with it. Did it at 100,000km.

Seems the same to me and I'm in Cali.

So basically always in moderate temps but have gone skiing with it and it seems good there to. Maybe less than a week or two every year where its 90 or more. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ght=redline+d6 Last edited by ctuna; 12-21-2014 at 10:32 PM.. |

Yes, shifts in cold weather are fine, but better after warmed up (of course).
Before the change, cold weather shifts were worse. |

I didn't use D6, but I did use D4. I'm happy with the performance overall. It feels like OE to me. I didn't feel any difference: exactly what I was hoping for. I'm just glad knowing I've got new fluid in there.

I'm using D4. Shifts are much smoother than before I changed the fluid (at 60k).
It got rid of a lot of the resistance I felt going into each gear.

I used D6 previously and didn't really notice much of a difference from stock.

I've been running D6 for about 5,000 miles and noticed an immediate improvement in shifts from stock (changed around 80k miles). It's a little notchy when it's cold, but particularly once it's warm, it shifts really smoothly. Seems to warm up from below freezing in about 3-5 minutes. At least on my car you can still feel the gates pretty distinctly, but the motion is more fluid than before.
