Best way to hit 16-17psi stable on jb4g5? problems with map5..

I'm currently FBO on pump fuel euron 98 (US 93). I hit 14.5 on map2 like it says but on map 5 most times it hits 12psi despite that weather is fairly cold and IT is like 80-85 most times. I rarelly get 16psi on map5 like once every 2 weeks.
What is the best way to hit a 16-17 psi stable? is it with a backendflash or by using map 6 or???

Map 5 is a learning map.usually after you reset the fuel trims by 1 and 7,the first wot run in map 5 will be 16-17psi.if everything is okay car will keep that psi,if it's running lean or anything it will make adjustments which usually end up being lower boost mostly due to crappy fuel

Click into map 2, then back to map 5, then do 3 WOT pulls within a few minutes of each other. Drive around after that and see where you're at.

I did that and on the first wot it peaks at 12psi the reason why im baffled. Shouldn't the first wot peak at like 17 psi?

Menu 1 and sub-menu 7 resets map5? story is when I had only dci and cp after I installed jb4g5 it used to have an average of 17 psi. Then when I did a wot the car backfired on a shift and boost automatically went down to 11-12. after installing catless dps and upgraded fmic the car is still at 11-12 psi.. so maybe resetting would do the trick?

Which firmware are you on? Are you reading timing values of all 6 cylinders? I used to see 18.5 PSI on Ver. 27 but at Ver 28.3 I only saw 16PSI, the new 28.5 is supposed to correct that issue most people had, I can't confirm that since my clutch doesn't like that much boost anymore.

Just post a JB4 log on the N54 tech support section and they will give you all the tuning help you need.

To reset map 5, switch to map 0, then switch again to map 5.

The only way is to not use Map5. You can increase Map6 boost levels in small increments and log until you find a safe boost range. Fixed boost maps > learning/variable boost maps.

If you find map 5 inconsistent then stay with Map 2.

Map 6 is for those who know and understanding tuning principals, I'm not against it but it's not for amateurs who just get boost hungry without understanding the pros and cons.

At any rate, logs are important for all maps so start with that.

You may find more people looking at your logs if you post them to datazap.me.

JB4 logs are something like hieroglyphics to most of us. Thin lines, similar colors and weird scaling makes them hard to read.

Post the CSV logs so we can see why boost is under target.

This looks like a pull from map 1 but its targeting 15 psi

Check all your piping from turbo out to throttle body and also check DV or BOV for possible leaks something is not right there.
