It's amazing (not really) all the bad decisions that lead up to someone getting tazed/maced/beaten/shot by police officers. People really are that dumb.

It's pathetic seeing that kid cry like a little girl on that newscast as well, what a loser. If I had done something as dumb as him, there's no way I'd want anyone to know about it, let alone file a police brutality report or whatever and bring attention to it. The cop should have beaten some more sense into him.

Looks like one guy tried to dangle his penis out there and the other guy decided he wanted to dangle right back and show him his was bigger.

Problem is, one of them is at work and one isn't. If someone guy walks into a shop and decides to be a jackfvck, it's not the same as if the guy behind the counter decides to be a jackfvck. One is getting paid to be an jackfvck. Expect a little more professionalism while they're out there.

I'm sure there's a bunch of small time shop owners who are thankful the races of the two involved are not reversed. They can sleep sound knowing their livelihoods won't be on fire at 2am.

Yeah the kids a dumbass, but the cop in no way needed to hit him. He was no threat with a second cop right next him.

The cop knew the kid was agitated and went into his space, its not what he was trained to do, his job is to de-escelate situations and he's trained to do that.

Cop steps forward, escelates the situation, kid steps forward does the same thing. The two talk shit and the cop sucker punches him.

Both are dumb, cop should get suspended/disciplined.

I aggree with you on this. There is a certain subtleness you must use when displaying your Military status. I never play the Military service card blatantly, but I do keep my ID in a position in my wallet, so if I am asked for my ID by any LEO, it may may raise the question, then you can just present the Military ID when/if asked about it. ( I get pulled over for my Tint constantly).

Usually, if you extend a proffessional courtesy, most times it is reciprocated.

This Reservist could have kept his composure better, even though he was frustrated about he delayed response from the PD in question. Still, this boiled down to a chest bumping contest between a former Marine and an Army Reservist. Any Service member would agree that this behavior is common place between Army vs Marine.

If Litos was able to chime in here, I am sure he and I would have a little bit of a back and forth in this tread, LOL.

If I was military (and I'm not), I think I would just conduct myself in a disciplined and respectful manner where the officer would pick up that I'm clearly not a civilian. All it would take is straight posture and lots of "sirs" and I'm sure the cop is going to eventually ask "you military?" at which point you just have to be honest.

Agreed. I went back and watched the video a second time to see if the kid take a swing at the cop or something of that nature and saw nothing. All he said was "you're the one that stepped up to me" and then got sucker punched. I mean wtf was that?

The guy was trained a soldier which means that backing down isn't really something that soldiers do. Sounds to me like the cop(s) was agitated from the beginning with the "first of all, I don't run on your schedule" line.
