Coding change vehicle logs

Do vehicles store a record of changes made through coding? In other words, can a dealership tell when an owner has been coding?

No, if you FA code each module you've done changes on (with the standard FA string the car came with) then all coding changes are reset to default and the dealers won't know.

This is true, however most dealers don't care about coding. If your misfiring they really have no leg to stand on saying it was your mirrors folding when you lock that caused the issue, lol.

The FA string is the list of all the equipment your car has, like 6NS for enhanced bluetooth. On top of that it also has info like build month, regional variant etc.

When you FA code a module (button that just says "code" not the FDL code one) it sets all the settings in that module based on the factory settings for the equipment your car has in the FA string.

So if I set the auto on off to remember the memory it was last put on and then turn it off again (Default) would the dealer be able to see anything?
