Are they replacements or stick on covers? I am debating adding this to mine as I am not a fan of matte finishes on cars.

I have black pillars too and first thing I did after I got it delivered, drove straight to this opti coating place and got the whole car Opti coated. Haven't had a scratch on the pillars after a year.

Just a stick-on cover? I read somewhere that the actual part is an easy swap and not very expensive...

PNs for the rear are 51357263379 (left) and 51357263380 (left), ~$40 retail per side. Double check this, but I found as I always do via bmwfans.info. Very easy to navigate through the entire car's worth of part groups, and good drawings to know what you're looking at. Maybe tonight I'll come back and edit this post to link the thread where someone swapped these out. Ironically I think they swapped matte in for their original gloss, because they didn't want to deal with maintaining the gloss. |

At first I was like "What so different?" ... as my car already has gloss black pillars. Something new I have learned. Never noticed the sportline and m sport came with matte black.

Attention please!!!
After 3-4 times car wash , the pillar has got damages! Sticky under the pillar cover has come away. Yesterday I went to Ziebart and removed the lousy pillar cover trims from my car. I advice all of you that never purchase this pillars if you are planning too... |
