This has to be some sort of facelift instead of a new gen. I already have a problem telling the difference between the mk6 and mk7 golf, this r8 is gonna give me an even harder time.

I see hints of Veyron in the first pic.

I love the rear and am thrilled to see the louvers go the way of the dodo bird. I actually think I miss the blade...

Huracan > This ... By a large margin!
I'm okay with the ass and interior. But as a whole... It is quite bland all things considered.

It's obviously rooted in the Mk I R8's template, but all of the changes just look forced to make it contemporary. Is it more modern looking? Sure. Will it have more visual impact than the previous model? Probably. Is it as classy and timeless? I don't think it's even close.
I can see that. It looks like the greenhouse and roofline is massive compared to the outgoing model; they brought the rear pillars back into the decklid so it's almost purely fastback, and it looks like it's either a wider greenhouse or a smaller body. Just looks less athletic when looking at the ratio by itself.

Audi's virtual cockpit is amazing. I like the way it cleans up interiors. Along with using buttons as digital readouts. Audi is way ahead in the interior game once again.

Did not like the 1st one now since the second looks exactly the same you can asume what I think about it.
I expected it to be waaaaay more vanguard, edgy, revolutionary especially after BMW sending the i8 into the game. Any word on the technologic development besides more HP? |

Ehh, I think I like the 1st Gen styling better. First thought when I saw the pictures was it looks like a beefed up TT.
Interior is nice but they could have done more with the center stack. |

Upside to this is, any R8 gen will age well and will look relatively new for years. The other thing is, just like the 911's, it will hold its resale value too - which is a downside for me - I want one but I don't want to pay $100K+ for a 5 year old one. |

I think it's a gorgeous car. It does just look like a 'facelift,' but the original R8 is still such a beauty, I don't think Audi needed to make it that much different
Impressive specs too!

I think it looks fantastic, and from the reviews the driving dynamics will be great. I truly can't see why anyone would choose an NSX over this NA V10, but to each their own.

The side scoop reminds me of a Clio V6. That's actually a good thing. Not sure about the rest of it. Pretty damn busy. The R8 was the king of the understated supercar. Too bad.
