Alternative to QuickBooks for Small Businesses?
Hey,
Do you guys have any recommendations for an application or software that's an alternative to quickbooks? Something that has Sub-Categories for product input, creating orders/invoices, customer database, scheduling appointments, and if possible to keep track of expenses. Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

I use Quicken for my personal and small business accounting. But then I HATE accounting so honestly I just use it because that's what I know how to use and it does the basic things I need. I don't use it for scheduling or anything like that just basic expense tracking so I can generate a P&L at the end of the year for my tax guy.

I'm a cpa. QuickBooks is expensive but really does work well and works with most banks and credit cards.
Xero and Freshbooks are trying to compete and might be better at some things but will never be as compatible as QuickBooks. Stay away from Sage, it's an older product that lacks the ease of use that most other software's have. |

Spammer thread resurrection detected. Deploy countermeasures.
Aside: I also use Freshbooks, though I do not need to do anything complex beyond standard client invoicing and time tracking. |

Look into Jobber. We use their service for both of our companies. The expense tracking is pretty basic but the rest of their service is excellent. Clients can also access their account through it and also request service. We combine it up with stripe for payment processing.
Well crap, just saw this is from the dark ages. |
