Finally my V2 install and Dyno

I was doing a funeral for the military in Athens and figured it was the best time to get my V2 installed so I drove to Calhoun, where Dyno4mance is located.

Andrew(the owner) was very cool and despite there being 6 Evo's in the shop, he took the time to take care of me. Seth(E90post member Noize) had just returned from California where he picked up his brand new Evo X. Very sleak car. Didnt ride in it, but he took a girl for a drive and she came back with a smile on her face.

Ok, so my car went thru a 3 1/2 hour drive before getting the install and Seth took his time installing and making sure everything was good. Once in, we went for a drive and sure enough, on 3rd at redline I got a limp mode which was expected. Seth is one of Shiv's Beta testers. SO he fixed what needed to be fixed and everything is now awesome.

The very first thing I noticed were the turbos. I was shocked when I heard them. Never expected them to be so pronounced. Very cool. Everything is so smooth. Honestly compare to 1.47, I could care less I get a little less tq. I can't remember was stock felt like, but I'm guessing this is it.

So the dyno. After the car getting beaten up from the trip and the test runs to ensure there were no problems, heres my base dyno. I wasn't going to rip everything out to see what my stock numbers were, then spend hours putting it back in.

It's my first and my only mod besides V2 is the BMC Air filter. 93 Oct and the values set at 93%. Andrew was adamant that he corrects nothing. The numbers are what they are. He guessed on a Dyno Jet it would be 15% more.

Comments please

So roughly 343 WHP in comparable terms to others?

You need V2 new map for all of you mods, it should be making more power than that for sure...Congrats on the upgrade and I think the new map is coming out soon within two weeks..

Everythings stock except for the V2, air filter, and I guess if you want you can throw in the Bastuck muffler. I'm going to wait for Shiv to come out with the catted DP map before I install that and my midpipes. I was just so geeked to finally do a dyno.

Based on what I've read here and Andrew told me, it's around there.

I mean the car was on the road all day and as soon as I let Seth drive, he sold his E90 and so regretted it after driving mine, he drove the hell out of it to bring up any issues. But hey, I'm really happy. So smooth...

E90 ice installed my V2 yesterday. Unable to datalog due to road conditions but no codes and very smooth linear acceleration.

Congrat, I will be worried about letting seth driving my car. The man can't even get out of dyno4mance without a scratch!! I hope you make Seth envious about selling his E90 since he went back to the dark side. Anyway, Andrew dyno is one of the lowest reading dyno. Don't worry about the number, if it was good enough to impress Seth that saying a lot. That man use to have a 500whp evo8. He know what it like to drive fast car and a great guy, just hope his evo X last longer than a year before he get bore again.

I thought Noize sold his e90 to get a 135i? Now a Evo X... He is going back to the 3 diamonds, but I was on the fence between the new X and the 335, since I missed my 8 so much.

Man, that dyno is kind of strange, bec. when Shiv was there and installed my Procede, my car pulled 320 hp on that same dyno. My stock dyno there was 286. So your dyno of almost 300 with V2 sounds low, although the dyno must have been set up differently between these dates or other various factors are at issue.

Yeah, instead of having the Evo shipped to Georgia, he drove 2000 miles. The blue is really nice. There was drama already with it too. Everyone in the shop was walking around and sitting inside because he didn't really mind. Then this lady sits in the drivers seat and lights up a cigarette. Everyone already hated her because she was such a bitch all day. Anyways, she got chased out of the car.

Yeah, Andrew told me that Shiv made adjustments to have it read more like a Dynojet. He never adjusts anything. His is setup like a european dyno and he's from England, so it HAS to be the best way. Whenever the map comes out for catted DP's, I'll go back there and see what I get.

I would guess less than that.

and yeah, whats up with the rpm's almost to 8000rpms? Either the tech was trying to blow up your engine or the rpm reading was off. If they did rev the car that high....i'm pretty impressed w the lack of heavy power fall off at over 7500rpms.
