all cats removed, car is not back firing

I have a 2step set to 4500 RPM and catless exhaust. unlike every video I have watched with the same setup, my car does not backfire, no smoke, no fire. what's causing this?

Your car isnt dumping enough fuel for a backfire. Thats usually from way to much fuel in the system and the pressure and heat at the tailpipe creates the bang. Darn BMW's. You can richen up the mixture a bit to get what you are looking for. But like a diesel that has a ton of black smoke, its just not tuned right.

How can I richen up the mixture? I have 4 inch tips and magnaflow mufflers, running 45% mix of e85, still not even a pop

in your tune. you cant force more fuel on a bmw, you have to target and AF ratio. not great for the car.

The point of 2step is to build boost... Are you building boost? It does this by enriching the fuel mixture and retarding timing.

As others said, it needs more fuel during the 2 step. (How that's configured, I don't know). The step 2 is designed for racing not for ricing.

The back fire of most bimmers is from too much fueling. And coming over from the diesel scene I cannot tell you how many kids just want to "roll coal" from their truck with little to no understanding of how it will affect anything else. Over fueling is not always good, and can lead to stress on other parts that will rack up costly repairs. Are those repairs worth looking cool? That's up for you to decide. When I was younger, I would have said hell yeah! So I can't say too much in that aspect...

be wary of excessive fuel in your cylinders. itll thin out the oil and ruin your ring seal on your pistons. you have been forewarned.
