Windshield Fluid Cap
While filling up the washer fluid today, the cap broke off and fell into the engine bay. I was unable to see where it fell, but it's definitely in there. Is there any chance of it causing any problems if left down there and driven for a few days? Might be a dumb question, but I figured it was worth asking. Thanks guys

Working on a BMW is like checking your couch cushions after a party - if you ever take off the underbody panels - no telling what will fall out that has been resting there for years

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it hasn't already, it'll probably fall out within minutes of getting on the highway and doing some 60+ mph driving.

just took off my undertray yesterday to investigate an oil leak. Found all the parts I dropped during my OFH gasket and Valve cover gasket replacement. On other cars when you drop things they fall to the ground, on a BMW they stay in the engine bay until you take the tray off. Its a pain when dropping stuff.
