Complete detailing wait time on an E90 after pain job?

Recently got my e90 painted on the right rocker panel due to deep scratches and the whole panel was painted by BMW.

The question now is how long do I have to wait before I can fully detail car in the shop ($300 to detail 4 hrs job), and I am not paying it as it was offered by my BMW dlr due to some dumb stuff they did on my car during svc. I assume they will be using all that buffing machines and chemicals and concerned with them messing my panel up, or any chance?

I am super paranoid and did my research which a lot stated that 30-90 days wait time before any buffing or complete detail. I am in the 45-55 days range...any takes?

Do they allow you to talk to their detailers or just drop and pick up when done. Anyone exp this before? THX

If you've waited 45-55 days, you're safe to detail.

I recently got my front bumper repainted due to someone merging into my lane.

Body shop said to wait 90 days for the paint and solvents to fully cure before waxing. If you wax or polish too soon, you may trap some of the solvents in the clear coat causing a wavy look. I am into my 42nd day; hence why my car is dirty as hell right now.
Of course they said it is also ambient temperature dependent as the hotter it is, the faster it will cure.

If BMW is the one detailing your car, I'd stay away. I heard that they usually contract a low cost 3rd party to do the detailing (which tends to be terrible and just scratch your car) especially when they offer it to you free because of a mistake on their part.

I agree with the above. The detailing company does not work for you, they work for the stealership....

if you can, try to make them give you a budget and say you will find a detailer yourself and will use that budget towards them. but dont tell them you will take that money else where. but i guess you already have a 300 limit. if you want you can come to me and i'll take care of you for 200. you can pocket the 100 for your troubles!
