The "Have a great drive" thread
This forum is all about support for the E9X chassis, but we don't spend enough time talking about why we love our cars. This thread is a positive one: it's all about enjoying your drive.
Post your story from today. Talk about the good things that keeps you coming back to your E9X. For me? Every day when I walk out to my car, whether I'm going to or leaving work, I'm happy as all getout to drive it. Even if it's the worst day, I walk on out to my car and everything that bothered me from the day disappears. That's why I drive my E92. Why do you drive yours? Its such an awesome drive. Driving my E90 gives me such euphoria, its like a full body boner every time I start her up.
Everything about the car makes me feel good, even seeing her in the garage when I walk out to my Jeep for the daily commute.

Today I was at the New York International Auto Show. There were truly some spectacular cars on display, and with each passing second I grew more and more anxious to get into my baby and feel the thrill!

Today the sun was out so my roof was down. I enjoyed turning corners fast and hearing my exhaust (even though it's stock, it sounds good). Wind blowing in my hair, I love my e93!

Hearing the sound of an I6 makes my day. Having one in a wagon is extra sweet.
People love to tailgate me thinking a beige wagon must be driven by a grandma. That was until I took a corner and leave them far behind.

I look forward to the top down rides on warm nights after work that let the troubles of the day drift away.
It makes me happy to know that the dealer finally fixed my hard top, and I will never have any more problems for the rest of my life! |

Can't get enough enjoying the thrill of it and the backfires it does when the car drops in rpm or I'm shifting and I always get compliments on the looks and sound

Owned car since Mid October, and yesterdayI took it to one of my favourite winding mountain stretches.
My previous car was an E46 and I was seriously impressed the E92's superior handling at high speed and the supportiveness of seats in tight corners at the limit Plus there is so much power with 335i; when having to slow, you're back up at top speed in not time. Awesome car. I have a DCT and usually drive in manual mode, using stick, but on the twisting roads it was good to use the paddle shift. |

I've been driving mine for 160 miles a day for the past 278,000 miles. 'nuff said...

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Did I not mention that I drive it to let my troubles drift away? Pfft........
There.... fixed- everybody back in their happy place now? Now, put away your damn pitchforks and carry on. All that remains to be done now is for @Needbmwpartzz and @bimmette to edit their posts and delete that stupid quote of mine and my heinous, negative blemish on this otherwise shiny, happy thread shall be forever expunged from the e90post universe Sorry all, I really want to enjoy this car... believe me- I do. As a matter of fact, I really am enjoying the car- for now. |

Cold start still sends shivers down my spine. Every day. Akra for the win.
BBBBBRRRRRRRRRRUM!!!!! Still look back at her at least twice when walking away. As someone said above, the E92 is a truly beautiful car. Slowly slowly, she's becoming my car, as I do little details to separate her from the pack. Plastidipped the kidney grills last weekend, first time using the stuff and it came out amazing, very happy, don't see what all the hate is about, cost me half a can of plastidip (9 bucks) instead of 80+ for factory black ones. Yesterday I vinyl wrapped the fake wood interior with brushed steel and plastidipped the ashtray lids. Looks amazing, my first time wrapping too and also came out good (not perfect, I have some imperfections, but its ok). I'll take some pics later when she's back in one piece.
