A Happy Man - Procede is back! now the V2
Hi Everyone,
First, let me say that I choose PROcede because back then was the most sophisticated piggyback out there, and still seems to be IMO. I am not a fan of any tuner in here, if other tunes would have offer the similar product, I'd had tried it, to me this is just business. And not, I would not go with the Dinan fla$h even if it existed when I was shopping around. I've never had a single problem with PROcede in over 8K miles with it, other than a mistake I made (I broke the solenoid hose, and had kind of a boost leak) nor I have had any single problems with Vishnu customer service, I've had one major problem with my car not related to PROcede and Shiv offered me his support few times, beside many other questions I have had asked. Again, I just like to give credit to whom deserves it, I do not care what are your opinions towards Vishnu, I just dont like when they only get criticized in a bad way. Here is a good one . I had v1.47 for most of the time I've driven my car, never had a single problem. I removed it from my car because I had to take it to the $tealership. Once I received my V2 shipping notice, I decided to wait for V2 and drive the car stock for awhile. Most confess this car felt very fast stock, either I forgot it was this fast or they did something to it to make it faster while it was being serviced. Two days ago I decided to install PROcede back into my car. I found the installation was very straight forward, I printed this manual from http://www.vishnutuningforum.com/for...read.php?t=343 I didnt even need to watch the video. I made a mistake with the greem loom of the PROcede going into the large black subconnector slot #10 (I skipped one slot), hence I got a the “Half Engine” light on the dashboard when I thought I was done. So I read the code with the C-Reader, went to the Vishnu support site, found the code right away and where I was wrong. Bingo!!! Once I finished with the physical installation, I went ahead and updated the firmware, downloaded the latest map (2.0.2 1.10) and set the USER Tunable Parameters to 94% across the board. Shiv him self does not recommend this, YOU MUST do it on increment of 2%, I even heard people setting it to 95% on pump gas, just crazy. I disconnected the battery while I put all the parts/filter back, and finally I went for a test drive... Man, I felt the torque right away, it pulled harder and harder every time until it fully adapted. My car is a beast now, it push me back to my seat regardless of the speed/RPMs I am at, all the way to redline. Gears are different now, 5th and 6ths feels like 4th before, let alone 4th itself : . I am a happy man now, you could not say that when the piggy was out of my car . I still have a question, I installed the “speed delimited” version of the map, I read some thread that say they needed to install/intercept an extra wire is that true? Or am I good to go up to 175MPH ? lol jk. Things for Vishnu to note/change: 1.The installation instructions refer to the PROcede V2 firmware as “pro02v03beta1-1” in most places when it is really called “pro01v03beta1-1”. Please named this accordingly to the PROcede version to avoid confusion among the users. 2.The thread with the manual mentioned above should be stickied at least at Vishnutuningforum.com. I found out that one to be the best y because it assumed you have V1.4x out of your car. P.S: Please dont flame me because of my English grammar mistakes, I am doing my best to improve my grammar. I am native from the Caribbean.

Just wait man. It only gets better.
It took mine a couple days to completely adapt, but I went from V1.47 to the V2 and not stock to the V2.

Glad you love it.
BTW, definitely datalog your car with the 94% settings across the board. Then try it at 93% and even 92%. I, as others have found that sometimes if your settings are too high for your particular car, you could actually be boosting LESS at 94% than at 93%. But also don't just look at peak boost with each setting, look at the entire boost curve from the 2nd-3rd gear run. Enjoy. |

What did they do to your car in Service?
Just the other day I had my Car Software updated using Progman 28. This did change some of the engine mapping and with the SSTT it runs sooo strong. Stronger than before, even with 93 octane. Rember for us here on the West 91 is the best and 93 is buying 100 and mixing it. Im scheduled to get V2 this Saturday and Im almost wondering if I need it. But it should be great. As long as its smooth and has a broad torque curve I'll be happy. Plus Shiv does very good work. |

What makes it funny?
I mean, you can take it however you want! My spelling mistake... "AND Engine..." that makes it funny to you? just curious because you tend to give weird opinions sometimes.

"Peak" boost is usually just an intercooler piper spike. The only peak you need to be concerned with is the part of the curve after the spike which shows you the operational psi number. And of course, you need to be looking at the Engine Load data channels to see what is really going on with the rest of the tune. |

FYI -- Shiv has always said to make sure that you're running 14.5 - 15.0 psi specifically @ 5,500rpm (way before the 7,000rpm redline); if you bump it up to 94% across the board, but you're still running 14.5 - 15.0 psi @ 5,500rpm, then you should be ok.

The reason I say this is that I was running high 13psi to low 14psi and was looking for more. So I raised the settings on Wednesday night, and while the datalogs are showing increased psi, it's happening slowly over time. Granted, I only drive my car about 60 miles a day, when I do drive it. The real test will be tomorrow night when I go back to the track and see what I'm trapping. Best speed last time was 109.70 or so, with DTC intervention. I've upped the torque settings to 96% (I'm running 96 octane or higher) and have datalogged over the last two days, showing lower psi numbers than with 90% settings with 300+ miles. If I trap significantly lower tomorrow, that will be enough evidence for me that user torque setting changes need more than a couple hundred miles for the ECU to learn the new fuel/spark/boost parameters... |

I'm a little higher elevation (1,600ft) but a forum member in Tucson has run similar times, so I know it's doable... That's what I'm looking for tomorrow night! |
