Brake hold at a light

I've done some searching and it says that the f30 has the auto hold feature, but i can't figure out how to activate it.

Im a Mercedes i had i would just jam the brake pedal for a split second and i could take my foot off. How do i do it? Any coding necessary?

I am not sure if coding is involved or if a special sequence is needed but MY2012 came from factory like this.

I also have the 8AT. The brake as I understand it is in the transmission and not in the brake system.

Yours works or doesn't?

My car has everything except the technology package and M sport.

The only auto hold feature I know of is that the car wont roll back on a hill if you get off the brake.

It will hold the car for a few seconds then the brakes are released.

Is that what you are looking for?

The auto hold feature is activated with the electronic parking brake. Had it on the X5M, A6, and 750. The F30 doesn't have a true auto hold, it just has the BS so it doesn't roll back when facing uphill at a light.

ahh ok, I must have misunderstood what i read. I live in Florida so I'll probably never get to use the roll back function. Thank you for the responses!
