Popped my hood to this.. What should I do??

I attached a picture of my methanol line.. Obviously this hard rubber tube can't handle the heat.. Lol

What do you guys use for methanol tubing...?

I bought this kit from a member and he included a roll of this tubing.

Try silicon tubing like the ones for vacuum lines. You could probably get whatever diameter that is at whatever length you want from any auto parts store like pep boys or something.

Dam,your crazy. definitely redo that.can buy nylon 11 tubing 1/4'' or 6mm.1/4 is common.

Hit up any company who sells Methanol kits and buy their tubing. Or buy any plumbing online that's rated for methanol.

It needs to be rated for both the type of fuel and also the pressure. A guy on here ran similar kind of tubing as you did though the interior, had your kind of break except inside...filled up the whole under carpet area with meth. He's lucky to be alive.

Meth eats rubber it wasn't the heat that did that brother. Meth burns invisible. After you go to SS wrapped PTFE lines or nylon (no other) make sure to wash your engine bay and degrease it to nothing crazy happens. The foam cushions under covers fill up like little death sponges and spontaneously combust causing some bad under hood fires.

When doing anything with chemicals or heat you must be sure to pair with the correct compound of hose or tubing

Just go to your local plumbing store. They have tubing that is rated for chemicals and high heat/pressure. I've been using it for over three years with no issue. Really cheap too.

Stop trying to be cheap with something that will literally burn your car down. Go to a local or online meth kit distributor's site and buy the proper line.

I dont think local auto parts stores carry what is needed. The cheap stuff at local auto parts stores wont stand up to the corrosive properties or pressure, trust me, tried that years ago and it failed miserably.

There is no specific name but it needs to be tubing able to withstand the pressure and corrosive properties. You should pick up about 20-25 feet just to be safe. With 25 you will have extra.

Stainless...You can do methanol cheap, or you can do it right. There isn't/shouldn't be a middle ground on this one, the risks are too high.

I've also bought this in the past for meth and it works also but I prefer the black color tubing to make the install look clean.

ugh, No wonder meth gets such a bad name. Do it right the first time. If you've never installed or had a meth kit then research it. Its a good, expensive, and reliable system that is made bad, cheap and unreliable.
