Help me out, 1 code causing limp mode

So i unexpectedly got a limp mode shortly after starting my car. I got two codes. 2a9a- camshaft sensor? & 3100- which is just a limp mode code. I've searched and all I can find is vanos solenoid related codes and discussions. It's weird I'm not getting any vanos codes along with this one code. Any ideas what to do to fix this problem. Would like to fix my self but don't know where to start.

FYI just had all six plugs and injectors replaced less then 1000 miles ago.

Maybe cam shaft bearing ledges? I forget the exact codes I got when mine went out.

Replace your intake camshaft sensor. Also, when you do make sure your camshaft sensor is seated properly. I replaced it and it was still showing code 2A9A. Also, I was experiencing a long crank and the check engine soon light came on. I took a look at the sensor from the side (using a flashlight) and I was able to see the oring (not suppose to see the oring). DO NOT TIGHTEN THAT LITTLE BOLT. Loosen the bolt and jiggle the sensor until it is seated correctly (no longer can see the oring) then tighten the bolt (not too tight, snug) Car started right up and no more codes are being thrown.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger
