Anybody actually replaced a bad knock sensor?
A couple weeks after I did the HPFP recall and DME update on my '07 335i I got reduced power mode 2 mornings in a row the exact same distance from home. Car was fine coming back from work. Code showed a knock sensor signal error. I'm very sceptical that this is actually the problem but I am picking sensor pair up today to try. I may flash back to the orignal bin if the new sensor doesn't help.
I have already taken the sensor pair out and there is nothing obvious. Do these things actually go bad as a search revealed very little history for the N54's ?? Any help appreciated.

Some good info http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showth...ighlight=Knock
However this is a knock sensor issue related to upgraded components causing the "false knock", if I remember correctly. |
