JB4 Blues
Need some input from anyone that has delt with JB4 issue's. I keep getting a reduced power output check control. Performed a short test, ran though the test plans. Was advised HPFP had failed. Replaced and test drove. Faults returned. Ran the test plan again..Was told to replaced the rail pressure sensor. Same situation. Running the lastest I-level software
"29E2"-Fuel injector rail, pressure-sensor signal "26F2"-Fuel high-pressure system, fuel pressure Only happens on Jb4 maps (Map 1)..Stock is fine. Replaced HPFP, with latest version Seems I can trigger it doing a 4th gear pull, It will climb and then fall on its face. Injectors are original , index 01. Test plan for the injectors, says their OK. Theirs an SIB related to the faults, with a flow tree but its for stock cars obviously. Any input ?? |

Get a log of this happening if you can. I wouldn't point the finger at the JB4..
Did this start happening out of nowhere?

So you're implying the JB4 is an issue in your OP (Based on "people who have dealt with JB4's issues"), but don't know how to even use it?
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10605 As suggested above though, I wouldn't count on even a good datalog showing the issue. If it's a problematic/failed part in the fueling system, the JB4 can only log the main bits. Here's what a quick google revealed:http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1002296 Where is your FOL set at?

Thank you, I've only had the JB4 for a little less than a week. I was running BMW PPK but got bored with that...I'll do the log this weekend, I'm going to check the fuel pressure this evening I guess and compare values with ISTA |

First thing to do is connect your laptop to the JB4, and under the User Adjustments tab, see what Fuel open loop is set at.
