Just changed the brake fluid in my 2009, 320i, LCI E91. Used Jurid brake fluid dot4. The surprise was, finding two different size of bleeding nipples in the same car. The rear wheels brake fluid bleeder nipple take a 9mm closed ring spanner and the front wheel bleeder nipple take a 11mm closed ring spanner. That made me dash to the tool store twice to buy these spanners. I only had the even numbers in my tool box to start with. I thought this information would be useful for some one else with a similar model. By the way I used a small water bottle with a plastic tubing for bleeding the brakes and it worked surprisingly well.

Yeah I was surprised as well . I purchased the schwaben kit from ECS under my F25 so it came with an 11mm bent bleeder wrench. When I decided to do my E92 coupe after , I was surprised that they were a different size.

As for fluid type it is dot 4 , either Pentosin or as I purchased in the kit ATE TYP 200 dot 4 brake fluid.

You make your own simple kit. See here.

OR buy this type for 5-6 quid. The bottle here is small and you will have to empty it between bleeding each wheels.

Dot 4 about 500ml should be enough to bleed all 4 wheels. Don't forget to check the reservoir in the master cylinder between each wheel bleeding. Don't let it drop below minimum level. There are many good you tube video showing one man bleeding with this simple device.
