Urgent help needed: gloss wheels

I've got a set of powder coated gloss black wheels on my car. Took the car to the car wash and now my wheels have lost there shine and look worn out?? Is there anything I can do before I decide to get them refurbed??

Those wheels were originally silver (I have the same style and had mine re-painted gunmetal). Could be a bad job on the powder coating, but I don't know. sorry to hear about this. I'd go back to the car wash and inquire.

likely some sort of acid the car wash has used. were the wheels freshly done ? I'm not a fan of powder coat at all finish is horrid especially gloss black they tend to very quickly turn dark grey. if you are getting them redone gloss black get them painted this time the finish is far superior.

Isn't powedercoating pretty permanent or at least extremely durable? Judging by that one pic, they look plastidipped to me with the way its peeling. Speaking from my own experiences as I have never painted wheels.

Powder coating is stronger than paint. If properly done powder coating last a long time.

I'm just going to get them refurbed/painted by a local mobile service. So annoyed!
