BMW Service question
So my car has 48k on, and the service indicator says the service is due in 2,600 miles. How's does the free service up to 50k work when the cars says it needs a service at 50,600?
Do BMW still cover that or will they attemp to charge me? |

Theres a "buffer zone" on the service. You should be able to bring it in with 49,900 and get them to do it. I dont know what the outer limit of the service window is though.

Another thing you can do is drive the car very hard all the time. That will make your service counter decrease the mileage in which service must be done. If you drive it too nicely, it's just going to extend it.

on some things such as oil change there is a mileage when due as well as time..ie once a year. Check that too because sometimes the time is before the mileage.

My dealer told me they'd do the pre-paid service within 1,000 of it's due mileage.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
