Miss the JBS2 and UR DP

So, I took these things off because the car had some issues - limp mode and CEL. The engine problems persisted after removal, so I was pretty sure neither of these things were the cause. Then the long cranking started to occur. Classic fuel pump sign - yup and now fixed.

I must say the car in stock form sucks once you get used to the JBS2 (and probably true for every other tune out there). Yeah, it's fast, but I really missed the instantaneous push-you-in-your-seat feeling of the JBS2.

And then the DP. I really can't tell if it added a whole lot of power, but the sound without it is definitely more muted. Doesn't sound as vocal and sporty as it was when the DPs were on.

I guess power does corrupt...

You bet. At least for the JBS2. I have to pay someone to put the DPs back on as it is beyond my skill capability. 3 or 4 hours of labour already to take it off. Gotta pay again to put it back on... yuck.

I just didn't want any issues with warranty given the engine troubles. If it were something simple for warranty, I'd leave the DPs on...

No, sorry I misunderstood your post. I still have the JBS2. She's a keeper!!! Tremendous performance for $350 (the price back then). Only hassle is the install - but that is getting easier once you do it a couple of times.

Thinking of selling the DP if I don't decide to spend the money to put it back on.

Plan was to do it last nite, but it didn't happen. I did, however, tape up the hot pill and replace a broken pin with an extra pin that Terry sent me. I'm ready to go - just gotta find the hour or so to install the puppy.

Can't wait to feel the JBS2 plus the hot pill.

Stock sucks.
