Dull LED Angel Eyes and Indicators.

Ok folks, pre-LCI E90 with LCI Halogen headlights installed. I bought a set of LED's for the Angel Eyes and Indicators.

My issue is that they seem very dull (and almost have a green hue to them! Though not as greent as the pics suggest) compared to what I have seen on other similar cars and what the fella on the phone was describing.

Have a look for yourselves, no pics of the indicators because I'm a dope, but take it as read that they are a lot duller than their filament lamp counterparts...

The angel eyes are: 40w CREE-XPG BMW E90/E91 2005-2011 (LCI) LED Angel Eyes Marker Kit.

The indicators are: PY24W 68 x 1210 Amber SMD High Power Canbus LED Indicator Bulbs.

Is there something up with the power supplies? Or am I being picky and is this the standard of light I should expect?

maybe the LED's are just crap?

Whats the point of LED indicators anyway? Just seems a waste of money to me.

Well, I was going to get a chromed amber bulb, then I thought I'd try the LED's to see what they're like, because I can.

This is my friends, with similar LED's

They are a perfect white and very bright indeed. No they'll never be the same as new cars as they use a different methods now. But the difference is very real.

I'd be putting the standard indicators back in, and trying different LEDs for the Angel rings. Yours are presumably faulty if they're not white.

That looks really bad. The LEDs must be really poor quality. Were they green to begin with or did they go like that?

I have a set I'm selling for about $75 US if you're interested, probably even less in pounds. I ran one of them for a few months with no change in colour.

That's how they've been since new. The company I bought them from are sending out a returns package free of charge and are going to test them out for me. Hopefully they find a fault otherwise I'll try a different set that they sell. Thanks for the offer though.

Pity they don't do Mtech ones in LCI flavour.

The LEDs should be a fixed colour temperature like 6000K - Cool White. Unless they are adjustable colour temperature ones. I think they must just be a bad batch. Good that they are sorting it out for you

HID's direct. They've got good customer service and the HID's I got are perfect.

Though i'm getting the impression that the indicator LED's are just shitty regardless.

The AE LED's seem bright enough from the rear of the housing side of things, it's just odd that they come out strange from the front.
