Awesome transition. FR-S was basically a front engine Cayman, now you have the real thing! I echo the members above, wheels and a drop would do that car all kinds of favors. Cayman R wheels wouldn't be too shabby

Super accurate..the FRS chassis is amazing....doesn't need 400hp..250-300 would be amazing...

Absolutely! I think 250hp would've been perfect. I think this is why they can't move them off the lots now after an initial onslaught of buyers. Wonderful car for the money though until that engine starts to get on your nerves.

some unsolicited information: i found that some of the niche wheels fit porsche's and are quite affordable. watch the weight though.

Similar situation here. Been gone from these forums for awhile, sold my FBO N54 135i and bought a 2013 FR-S... So light, amazing handling. Did some work to it, headers, exhaust, headlights, cosmetic stuff and stuff to bring out the Subaru burble:

My old 135i was traded back into the dealership a few months ago (I work at a Dodge Dealer) and I drove it just for nostalgia's sake. I missed the power... so I asked myself, why don't I get something fast that also handles well!?

Traded the FRS in... I almost bought a 2011 Cayman S but the wife wasn't keen on adding another $400 a month to our car payments. Then took a Z06 home for a couple days before I told my finance manager to nix the paperwork, just drives too... 'big' if you get what I mean. Felt heavier than it was.

Finally decided to just buy.... another FRS LOL, boosted this time around:

Tune has since been updated from 19psi to 21psi. Makes about 520whp now on map 4 (E85). Went full retard this time with Brembo BBK, coils all around, too many mods to list. Sticks like glue on turns and spins through 4th and 5th gear.

Sorry for the derail lol grats on your Cayman man.

If the FR-S had 50 more horses I would've kept it forever. Though I now only have (are you serious) 265 horsepower I'm very happy I made this decision. Ecstatic in fact particularly considering the price I got the Cayman for. The flat 6 just sings above 4k rpm and pulls VERY hard up to redline. I'm loving it

Don't know why you think the Z drives heavy & wanted an FR-S over one, but to each their own. Driven many Vettes & loved mine. My next car is another Vette.
