Anyone here been to Leavenworth?

I went there last year. It's a boring ass fake ass Bavarian town in Washington State with almost a Disney feel too it. I mean, using the words Disney might be too much, it has more of a Knotts Berry Farm feel to it. In Leavensworth, you won't see German cars. The locals won't even drive 'em. I saw only one Audi A4 wagon - who happened to be the owner on the hotel I stayed in, one VW Passat who was driven by some tourist, zero BMW's, and zero Mercedes. But I must say, the drive south out of Leavenworth onto Highway 97 was pretty kickass. Just don't speed when you head towards Leavensworth on Highway 97 because it isn't the German autobahn and driver of this R8 didn't seem to get the idea.

Uh....ok. It's pretty obvious you know nothing at all about Leavenworth. If you went there expecting to see a bunch of German cars, you were mistaken. It's just a small tourist town set up with a bavarian atmosphere. It's not like there's a bunch of transplanted Germans living there. Also, next time do a little research about where you stay....the Leavenworth area has some of the most beautiful collection of rental cabins available in Washington state.....you NEVER WANT TO STAY IN A DOWNTOWN HOTEL. I have stayed many times on the Icicle river in a great cabin. It's got great fishing, camping, hiking, snowmobile riding,...anything outdoors that's worth doing.

Next time check with a few of us from Wa State before you go and you'll have a much better time.

What the hell would you expect from a little mountain town??? It's a "Quaint" little town with a couple of decent B&Bs a couple of restaurants... Not much else.

But you go there to relax for a weekend, and enjoy the drive there and back, Dunno why the hell you'd feel the need to single out a little mountain town to heap your derision on.... I can only assume your just mildly retarded or have been huffing paint.

Right now there are two-thousand "wannabe" Bavarians that are crying out at the injustice that the OP has brought down upon them.

I'm sure they will sleep well tonight knowing that one less hater rolls his "Bavarian" machine down Main Street.

And BTW, Oktoberfest is pretty kickbutt there.
