Drive Cycle for E-test

Is there anyway to bypass this? I have a dp fix and I've driven the car twice, following the procedure best I can. Do the steps have to be all in one go because I don't exactly have the area to start, drive to 30 to 50 then sit and idle for five minutes. Will I have to do the the same thing if I put stock downpipes back on? Also, is there any way to tell when the system is ready to check?

Get a cheap odb2 scanner.

I got mine to readiness by doing a few highway consistent speed cruises, stop and go, and at least 5-10 cold starts.

Have pep boys or some shop hookup and check for I/M readiness.

I've took it around town driving like a grandpa three to four times for a couple hours each time. 2nd time I tried to obd check it myself at the testing station and still said it wasn't ready/invalid. I still have yet to hook up a scanner, something I'll have to try today or very soon. Some people have told me they only had to drive around for 20 some odd minutes and was ok. Not sure why this is taking so long..

If they're still not showing readiness, adjust the DPFix accordingly.

Got it checked, was showing CAT and OXY sensors are the only ones left to ready. Any idea which "test" or part of drive cycle will get these ready?

I think that has to do with mild driving (for example 30 mph for a few minutes), and idle for a few minutes. That should take care of those two sensors.

My drive cycle consists of roughly 5 minutes of back roads to the highway with minimal stop signs or traffic lights. 20-30 minutes on the highway, pull over in a highway gas stop, idle in the parking lot for 5 minutes, turn around at the next exit and head home. Went right in for emissions after driving that exact route without a DP Fix installed, worked like a charm.

Good luck
