My first ever 'accident'
The weekend has arrived and the sun is out so I decided to take the car out for a spin and grab a bite at the local mall.
All is well until I scraped the cr*p out of the OEM M-Tech front lip so hard it rolled underneath the car while still attached to the front bumper despite taking the ramp very slowly.... FML, I just paid millions for an Armytrix exhaust as well (I'm based in Hong Kong so most parts are significantly marked up)and I really just need to vent When I heard the scrap it was like rubbing my face in the concentrate from a moving train... I hope none of you here ever experience this. The front lip is cracked on the left side and is now a write off. |

Same thing happened to me , left it oem Matte black so I sanded it down till smooth then matched the color back up. Since yours is cracked it might be more involved fix or a total lose. Sucks ! But not the end of the world

same exact thing happened to me, including the crack on the left side. I eventually got it fixed while getting other work done and it looks new again.
Just be glad it wasn't carbon fiber! |

The car I bought was supposed to have the M Perf Splitter... long story it didn't, so dealer was offering to put it on, and I live in the Boston area so I thought about it and eventually just took the $. Looks great, but man I'd hate for something like that to happen!

Man I am really sorry to see that. I know the feeling for sure. Last time I ran up over a curb in my M3 not only did it destroy the bumper, but there were a few people standing around that kinda smiled or laughed when it happened.
I gotta say the way you described your incident was pretty funny (face dragging in concrete). I am glad you are able to keep a sense of humor through this unfortunate event. I will say that even with the damage your car still looks AWESOME! |
