No, it`s not. This is the version for all 1 and 2 series.
Should be the same on 3 and 4 series with the matte carbon.

Has the standard M Performance version got a carbonfibre section at the rear like the M version can't tell from the pictures?
Guess it has just doesn't show because the armrest isn't slide forward like on the M stitched picture version |

Just looked at the repair manual for the 1 series (couldnt find the 2), and it looks like the trim on the hinge of the armrest pops off, then there are springs that need to be taken out. I assume you just reverse the process for the new install.

Thanks for sharing that. I'd still like to hear of someone's experience installing this before springing for it. I installed the M Perforamnce gear-shift knob and e-brake on Saturday and am eventually planning on getting the CF/alcantara trim set, and I'll probably pick up the armrest too (if it's an easy DIY job) to complete the look.
