GSR Technik M235i stage 1 flash on IND widebody yields 65whp and 75wtq

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share results from our stage 1 flash on a car you may have seen or heard of

For those of you unfamiliar with the car, here is the initial build thread:

http://www.2addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1088421

Our tuning partners, HG Motorsports in San Diego called us up and asked us if we could do a tune for a very special car, and we of course were happy to oblige. The cars engine is stock other than the Gruppe M Intake and its bark needed to match its bite.

There is a bit of a challenge for cars with more than a drop in filter where the car throws a code for air mass too high or too low, most likely due to how the new MAF housing differs slightly to the OE unit. We of course take care of that within the tune. The baseline dyno are with the intake already installed.

Other than that, this is an off the shelf stage 1 tune with top speed removed. If you have any inquiries or questions, our contact info is in the signature.

Peak delta torque gains come as early as 2500RPM and peak delta HP comes in at 6500RPM.

Here are the dyno results:

The graph says flywheel numbers, but are these numbers at the wheels, or at the flywheel? If its at the wheels, great. If it's at the flywheel, kind of low . . .

These are wheel horsepower and torque numbers with a correction factor that's designed to translate them to Dynojet-equivalent numbers. Our Dyno Dynamics reads about 17% lower at peak horsepower compared to the more typical Dynojet. The "Flywheel Horsepower" and "Flywheel Torque" you see are a result of me applying that correction factor, it's simply the way we have our dyno set up.

In that case, those are some solid numbers.

Do you (or GSR) have any idea what kind of gains someone would see with a stage 2 tune?

This is a bench flash right? Not a piggyback like the JB4?

We have an M235i stage 2 coming in next week we'll see if he wants to dyno and we can post the graph at that time.

From a sales perspective it would be great to get a dyno of this car (even if he doesn't want to pay for it) just so you can show potential customers what your stage 2 is capable of.
