Just reading my morning news and came across this; kinda cool. Unfortunately only available of iOS. Hopefully Android won't be too far along...I'd love to try this out.

But you also need to be driving in a city with smart signals.

Correct, but still pretty slick. As the article points out, given just about everything is connected these days (and city/muni budgets permitting naturally), given some time, this could potentially improved traffic flows, perhaps even accidents (running red lights etc).

In any case, just thought it was a slick idea. Definitely not widespread, but perhaps in a few years in the bigger centres....

I've used it and must say it's pretty cool...bad timing as I got a red light ticket a few months ago - my first and hopefully last. This would've been nice to have.
