Strong gas smell lots of white smoke from exhaust

started car this morning car was shaking check engine light came on lots of white smoke coming from exhaust and very strong gas smell from engine area... Any idea what it could be? Bad fuel injectors?

Exact same thing happened to me 2 years ago...cracked valve cover. Drove it to dealership, covered under warranty.

do you know how to rule out leaky injectors if its a cracked valve cover? i started the car couple hours later and there was no rough idle but alot of white smoke smelling like gas coming from the exhaust.

Gas smell to me would mean an injector, not the valve cover.

Pull out each spark plug and smell for gas.

What code are you getting?

i havent gotten the car towed to a shop as yet and have not pulled the code as yet. i will get it towed early next week.
