post shift HUGE lag
Hi guys,
Car: N54, ST, MT, JB4 G5, Rear O2 sensors disabled, As title says, as usual im getting HUGE lag post shift, just rarely its fine. Lag is so big that there is no sense to race, as, as soon as i shift, other cars go too far while im in lag. it does not matter if i shift slowly or fast Interesting point is, 1 to 2 gear shift is more or less fine, the biggest problem is 3 to 4 gear shift any advice? what to look at? |

Post shift lag is tuning related, and not the nature of the beast. I also have a 6MT N54 and have tuned countless of them and they have no post shift lag provided you have the CDV delete

I saw your other thread. Your lag is from traditionally shifting a large single turbo with boost venting during shifts. The NLS system should improve that. As would a smaller turbo or faster shifts.

I am having this exact same problem with stock twins.. Its almost as if the car doesnt even know youve shifted. Then its rolling then a sec later boost kicks in.. Quite disappointing n troubling

But you're right, the proper method is to actually correct what's going on with a tune. |
