M235i drivetrain malfunction
Was riding with a friend in his M235i today and while accelerating we experienced a loss in power followed by a drivetrain malfunction warning. The car ran and idled roughly for about 5 minutes and then seemed fine after sitting for about 10 minutes with the engine off. Has anyone experienced this? I did a search but it didn't turn up very much info.

Experienced something similar. Seemed to be caused by a faulty sensor. Dealer performed a software reload. Did not appear again since then.

Infamous limp mode. It happened to me and it turned out it was out of spec injectors.
It's happened to other Msports model cars and has been fan related also.
