Case of the missing boost with logs
I went to the drag strip last weekend, car ran great in the 1/8 mile. But it was a very hot day, and my IATs were skyrocketing waiting in line, around 160+.
It seemed like after every race, the car would get slower and slower until i had to stop to see whats was going on, also as i was waiting in line, i got a SES for trim control (running too rich) i cleared it, and it hasn't came back. I drove home, and it felt like I had a terrible boost leak. I hooked up MHD and checked my boost level, it was around 15 at peak. I normally get to 21+ What was strange was the more i drove the car, the higher my peak boost got, and the better the car felt. When I did my log, i was hitting 18s, but it still felt very off. http://datazap.me/u/quadking/2015-08...0&data=3-22-31 As more time goes by, i'm now hitting 19s, but something isn't running right. Here is a data log when the car felt great http://datazap.me/u/quadking/log-143...og=0&data=3-22 There seems to be a lack of power, but its not enough to throw a code. I'm wanting to get new turbos (hexon or VTT) but want to make sure everything is running perfect before i throw more power at it. Some ideas of what it could be: small boost leak somewhere. (my boost is only effected by ~2psi) vaccum line leak? waste gate? turbos going out? I'm pretty stumped about what to try since the car isn't throwing any codes. My car: FBO, wedge e60 custom flash, stage 1 lpfp. 2009, 81k |
