On android and most likely iphone you will need to clear history. I use chrome on my galaxy and in order to add pictures I have to go to desktop site--but the phone saves the cookie and always reverts back to the desktop site so I have to clear history and I get back to the phone site. One thing you can do is when you want to go to the desktop site, use another browser for that and use your main one for the phone site.
