M Performance Steering Wheel!

Just got this installed yesterday. Love it! I feel like I'm touching something I'm not suppose to in public The car even feels faster! Just kidding.

Sweet, I am considering that mod as well. Do you have to buy a brand new airbag and controls?? How much was total with part and labor?

I got it at getbmwparts.com. They advertise it for $675. But til the end of this month, you can use a $25 coupon code that will bring it down to $650. Shipping was free and no tax.

It comes with the wheel and front carbon fiber trim. If you already have the M sport steering wheel (basically the same wheel but leather) you don't need anything else. Not sure what you need if you're not starting out with the M sport wheel.

Install labor was $125.

Oops. That promo code summer25 expired Aug 31. $675 with free shipping is still a great deal though. When I purchased, they didn't charge my card until it was in stock which took about a week. The free shipping was UPS ground.

Looks awesome!

Do you lose the heated steering wheel with it? Thats a deal breaker for me.

So is that just the M Sport wheel with Alcantara wrap? It looks exactly like my wheel except for that.

The grip feels great! Very comfy. It also feels nice and cool in this summer heat.

I didn't have the heated steering wheel option being in sunny California so it wasn't an issue. I believe you would lose the ability to heat the steering wheel if you did this mod.

Great looking steering wheel, wish BMW would simply allow you to pay a fee and get a credit for the core part.

Midwest M235i You definitely do lose the heated steering wheel with this wheel. Thats why I opted for the heated seats and not CWP, knowing I would upgrade the wheel in the future!

OP - I know you have only had it a few weeks, but how do you think the wheel is going to hold up? In terms of cleanliness, wear and tear, etc.

Lastly, you can find this wheel for $650 shipped from Brian at Sun Motor Cars as compared to GetBMWParts that has it for $745...

check the classifieds for other people selling. my guess would be not a lot cause this wheel is only plug and play with m sport cars and all m sport cars come with this wheel.

You can always use your old steering wheel on your soap box derby coaster.
