We Tour the Classic Remise - Berlin...
Classic Remise - Berlin I am a BIG fan of the Classic Remise locations. They have a sister company in Dusseldorf which I have reported on a few times and formerly they were in Stuttgart(now under a new name Motorworld). These places are popping up all over Germany... which I think is a good thing. I know they have versions planned for: Munich, Hamburg, Augsburg, Ingolstadt. Frankfurt has Klassikstadt. But Dusseldorf is still my favorite of these types of car storage, car museum, restaurant, car shops and general car lover's hangout place. But this Berlin location was quite nice indeed. You never quite know what you will find stored away in these places... but sometimes its pure gold! I visited the Berlin Classic Remise the day after their classic car show ended at the Berlin Messe. So that's why you see some of the same cars/trucks-vans and boats here. Come with me and have a look... Dackel Classic Remise Wiebestraße 36-37, 10553 Berlin www.remise.de tel. 030 3640780 Hours: Monday thru Saturday 08:00 to 20:00 Sunday 10:00 until 20:00 former train house tracks...

I was there last summer. You might think it's just a big building with lots of cars, but it's got atmosphere and you can smell the petrol and oil. Really nice place; those small vintage service shops are just cute.
And yes, that is a Passat W8 from France next to a Traction Avant and HY vans.

I was also like a kid in there! Something about these open storage garages/museums that I find really cool. I never tire of visiting these places.

Very nice and I think I have to visit this one as well combined with a city trip Berlin...
I do visit the Classic Remise in Düsseldorf about 5-6 times a year. It's just one hour drive for me. Most of the time there are some really nice cars in there. How does the Classic Remise Berlin compare in size to Düsseldorf? Bigger, or more or less the same? |
