Folding mirrors functionality
Hi all,
I just wrapped up ED and loved the car. One small thing I noticed that didn't work as the manual said it would. Supposedly holding down the BMW button on the key fob is exactly the same as holding your finger on the "lock grooves" on the handle. According to the manual, doing so will raise the windows and fold in the mirrors. The windows raised, but the mirrors didn't fold. The only way I can get the mirrors to fold in is to press the button inside the car with the other mirror controls. Is this a setting that I'm missing? I tend to park in tight spaces, so I'd like to have the convenience of just holding down the key fob button (or placing my finger on the door handle) to fold them in. Thanks. |

It is such a sensible feature, annoying that it is not coded into US models on purchase. I often fold in the mirrors when parked on a busy street only to find that I want to use the driver-side mirror to check for traffic like cyclists that I might not otherwise see before opening the door right into their path.
