Temperature gauge

Does anyone know of any analog or digital water temperature gauges made specifically for the BMW E90? Are any generic gauges applicable to these vehicle if not.

Do a search and you'll find out why we don't need no water temp gauges. Discussed at length +++ why and why not, E46 buffered gauge vs. E90 no gauge.

Oil temp gauge is way more helpful.

But if you still want to know the water temp, you can search for menu unlock, where you'll enter into the hidden OBC menus. One of them will display current water temp.

That's assuming you have I-drive.
but yes, lots of discussion about this in prior forums....
basically engine temp fluctuates wildly during driving, and would make people crazy/scared

No, you don't need i-drive.
Just the regular OBC, the one with the display in the centre of the dash.

I figure having a temperature gauge will help notify me when the water pump is dying? Or am I completely off since it fluctuates?

thanks
