That being said, I actually think this car (base and M alike) is far more exciting than the Cayman/Boxster...and I like the Boxster quite a bit. |

As much as I love BMWs. Iīd take the Cayman anytime if I could afford to.
I donīt even care if itīs slower in a straight line. Few cars put a smile on your face like a Porker. And the Cayman S is the most quintessential Porker apart from the 911. AND I love the butt of that car

I'm betting one heck of an arm's race is going to heat up between the Z4 coupe and the Cayman. Not sure why BMW initially opted for the old M3 engine, but imagine the Z4 335 bi-turbo, not to mention the upcoming M3 V8. I was pretty disappointed with the message that the release of the coupe with the old M3 engine sent in regard to the slow pace of the release of the bi-turbo, and the decision as to whether it would be available in the US market. I am pessimistic about the whole 328/335 rumour for sept 06.

Theyīve even stated allready, that htey plan for lesser hp variants of the Cayman but definitely no RS. Í wonder when the first modder will put a serious motor in the Cayman and what itīll do with when lined up against the 911s.

last year when i was shopping i did the Z4 and CS back to back. with any options the z4 ended up costing more and just wasn't as fun.
of course that's just my opinion and the options i selected. i still wouldn't mind owning a z4 but for now it's all about the cs.

Really, you felt the need to bring back a thread that is almost a decade old to post that?
