335i EML after VRSF catless downpipes
Hi all,
Just after some advice. I have recently had catless downpipes fitted and since driving my car for around a day I have now had eml come on, no change in the cars behaviour at all though. I am straight away assuming it is related to the downpipes although haven't had a chance to read the codes yet. I was thinking about getting a jb4 anyway but my question is in anyone's experience would this clear the code and eml? |

As windy' s quite rightly stated post fitting the de cat pipes you'll throw codes (29F4 and 29F5) it's perfectly normal (I had the same issue which I was aware of but wanted to test for fit in terms of no resonance or fowling before altering the ECU) as you've 'altered the set up' without letting the car know that the primary CATS are no longer there.
Something like a JB4/Cobb V series or a custom re map will be able to cater for your mod comfortably |

I'd personally go straight for a BEF via MHD. Much better than JB4... Unless you intend to both the JB4 with the BEF.... then you get the best of both.

I have a downpipe fix for sale if you need one. Never used, £25.
