I) even with defroster running ?
2) does your car wash soap have wax in it? 3) Vic Elford in his book mentions using the cut open section of a raw clean baking potato to wipe the glass with to prevent fogging. |

I don't have that problem. Sounds like it's temperature related. As was stated earlier, ate you using the defroster?
White vinegar wiped with newspaper is super effective at cleaning windows inside and out. |

Sounds like the inside of your windshield is dirty. Clean it with any decent glass cleaner, I personally use invisible glass

Fog-X goes on the INSIDE of the windshield?!?!
I find Rain-X makes the fogging after the wipers pass worse. If you go through automatic car washes, it will cause a wax build up on the windshield. Need to clean the glass well with something like ammonia. I like using Bon Ami glass cleaner, really cuts through the wax, it has a high concentration of ammonia in it. |

I had a bad case of windshield spooge after having mine replaced. Every cleaner I tried seemed to just move the mystery goop around, rather than removing it.
I ultimately got (mostly) rid of it by using dry paper towels and a lot of elbow grease. The paper towels did leave a lot of lint behind, but a brand new microfibre cloth picked that up. Finally, I gave my wiper blades a quick wipe with some isopropyl alchohol to remove any build-up. |

Rain-X washer fluid will give a haze to your windshield, almost like it's been waxed or something. I switched to non-rainx washer fluid and this went away. No cleaning needed, just some time.
Note - actual RainX applied to windshield doesn't seem to have this effect. I like the original rainx product, but I steer clear of their windshield fluid. |

I made a trip to auto zone and rain x washer fluid has been discontinued.
No longer available in US. I bought invisible glass cleaner and rain x repellent and applied it. |
