Car 2013 f30 335i pwg

I just installed a catless dp and jb4 today and I'm pleased with the results.

For the life of me I can't find a thread that tells how to switch maps. I've seen various videos using volume controls but either it doesn't work or the car in the video doesn't have the same steering wheel/buttons as mine.

I hooked up the obd2 canbus and I was told the jb4 has the latest firmware that allows the switching of maps without hooking a laptop to the USB port...

What gives? I'm sure this info is out there somewhere

I think I may have to update the firmware because I can't get it to work.


Thanks a lot man! I appreciate you meeting me on short notice. I had fun putting it on with my brothers and we all enjoyed the car's new found power.

I will keep you in mind for my next upgrades.

You have to update to the OBD firmware. The JB4 won't function properly if you are hooked up to the OBD harness and using Posi-Tap firmware.

I did it today, works like a charm and cleared my CEL. Map 2 is nice, I'm going to drive it for a bit then experiment with map 5 and possibly 7. maybe a little e85.

there is an e85 station like 2 minutes from my house.

I love this car. What an impressive transformation from a few simple mods.
