What's my car worth?
Looking to sell my 2010 335i xdrive auto
Bought in 2014 for $23xxx and have put almost 15k on it (now at 66k). Will be moving soon and no longer need a car. It's loaded minus m-sport. I've posted it online for $22k but no bites, seems like i'm asking too much. What do you guys think is a reasonable amount to ask? Car is mint inside/outside/mechanically. Currently has come mild mods (see sig) Here are some older pics

Might be a couple thousand too high. Check the comps.

When you say you put $15k in it, what do you mean? Did it destroy the car so only a specific person would want it? Was it in repairs? Was it in all performance upgrades that you can take off and sell, then sell the car separate in stock form?

Yeah, you're priced a little high considering the mileage. Low of $16,000, high of $20,000 depending on condition and local market for your car. Sorry.
Tip: Don't mention the mods in your ad.

Let's be honest, these are beautiful cars with no resale value. It is not realistic to somehow fanagle things so that you drove it for free (unless you sell to someone who doesn't research). These cars depreciate at some crazy number the first year, 8k, then maybe 5k, by the time they're as old as yours, maybe $2,400 per year. 18k is closer to a sell price. Plus on a car that age, doesn't look like you have zsp, which is undesirable for someone who is an enthusiast.

I get it, we all want to drive for free, but if that were the case, it would make buying new or CPO stupid. |

I think his car does have ZSP (Sport Package), right? I think the paddle shifters with the Steptronic are one of the things included in that package.
OP - "Got Sport?"

Just food for thought. I recently purchased a 2011 F10 535i M-Sport for $21,000. Granted it had 93,000 miles but the NADA book value is still $26,000ish. The used car market is brutal and BMW's depreciate at an alarming rate. It had the original sticker and sales contract in the owners manual. Car sold for $75,000 in 2011 and four years later I found it on a Mercedes lot for $21,000.

Having ever been modded is also going to be a negative for most buyers. |

Bingo!
If you want to make bank on a e9x, you want a stickshift RWD wagon. Cost much less than a 335i new, worth way more used. Too many wagon lovers who were too cheap to buy them new fighting over the few used ones out there.

An e91 rwd is a totally different animal from my 335, and i would bet there are way more people looking for awd coupes than wagons... although the market is saying otherwise at the moment

These cars depreciate so much in value it's funny. Bought my car in 2013 for 36k(39k) and now it's probably worth 17-19k. The best thing to do is just drive the car to the ground to get your money's worth. BMW is a clean car tho it will stay looking new. Ppl still ask me if my e92 is a 2015 lol
