Does the Sirius FSC Code Transfer Over in a Used CIC Unit?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the Sirius FSC code will transfer over when a used CIC unit previously activated is installed in a different car? I know that the navigation and voice control will not.

Thanks,
Chris

It will not. All FSCs are specific to the VIN of the vehicle and will disable if the CIC VIN and Vehicle VIN don't match.

It's a three way check, FSC VIN, CIC VIN and Vehicle VIN must match for an FSC to validate itself and enable the feature.

Just wanted to update this...

My car had the factory Sirius unit in the trunk, and I was able to use it with the CIC (enabled SDARS: exbox with NCS).
After connecting the CAN emulator, the internal Sirius started working too. Now, I just have to extend the antenna cable to the front.
