Hi, can the roof of the F23 be remotely operated with the key fob?

Yes but you have to be close to the car

You can open by holding the unlock button and close by holding the lock button. But you still need to be right next to the car

What was your's build date? Someone told me they changed it so you can't, and I am waiting for mine still. Week 4 build week 8 delivery.

Works for me by just push and hold the unlock button.

If you want one touch up and down, plus a bunch of other cool options, and if you want this to work from much farther away than "right next to the car", check out the SmartTop module.

I have the smarttop also, works well from any distance, and there are a few more features. I switched the convertible button direction. You can open/close all windows one-touch door switch. You can choose window to default up or down when top is up or down. The top can also be one-touch (no holding switch) and can continue moving after car off and/or doors open - slick.

Ah I see. I think I will leave CA off and just get the SmartTop system when the car arrives then. I always empty my pockets when I get in the car anyway.
