New BMW Dealer Maintenance Expectations

I just purchased a new 228i a week ago, and have noticed rattling when I hit bumps or gravelly road. Is this something, I should expect to be covered under warranty? Should I expect a loaner car?

Thanks for the help!

Call you SA and let them know the problem. I went to the dealer to fix rattling in my 328i few times and they didn't charge me at all. I think it' under warranty. Hope it helps.

Just a thought before you take it into the dealer.
Remove everything you can from trunk and glove compartments,
buckle seat belts in all the seats, fold down rear seat backs.
Then drive and listen for rattle.
I'm not sure about gravelly road and rattles, but if you have sticky tire's and with the cars hard wheel liner, you do get a lot of wheel well patter.

You can absolutely bring it in. Call the local dealers and see which one has BMW loaners available. If they don't have loaners, make an appointment for one.

And hope you leave near a dealer who will give you a loaner even if you didn't buy the car there. Only one of the 4 dealers that I've been to will do so.

I guess it's a regional thing. Here, they don't care

Thanks guys, I cleared out my car and the sound is still there. Will bring it in to the dealer. Should I be concerned about them scratching or messing stuff up taking things apart? I think it may be coming from my dashboard

I had a rattle from my radio area, fixed under warranty. As long as the rattle isnt from something you did (like a lost can of soda they find) bmw should cover it.
