Grew up loving The Eagles music. You're a true artist that will be remembered and missed. Those old tunes still put a smile on my face.

IMO the best Eagles song ever

I have been a fan as long as I can remember and was lucky enough to catch their concert down here early last year, one of the best I've been to.

RIP, will be sorely missed.

This is tough one. I grew up with 3 older brothers so the Eagles were always played in my house. I remember when my brothers were at school and I would sneak into their rooms and put Desperado on the record player. I even knew then that this was a classic. RIP Mr. Frey. You gave me so many great childhood memories.

Always liked Desperado. Hard to believe how old that song is now.

What really pains me about this is how he died. Such a horrible shame he died suffering like that. The Eagles website posted in November that he was fighting those intestinal problems again. 3 months is a long time to suffer with that disease.

Nothing like Frey on his own, band in the background, singing Desperado. Awesome- sad I never got to see him live.

I always felt a calling to finish Pretty Maids, it seemed to need a closing stanza. Might have to go work on that.

My nose was bleeding profusely, but I got to see them last year at the Pond, and previously I saw them at Santa Barbara Bowl. Talk about a killer, intimate concert!!!

With all the seedy details in Life in the Fast Lane, these guys were just a bunch of clean dudes who wrote excellent music.
