A little background as to what we're looking for would be helpful. What are you trying to find?

O-cha,... I believe the differences are in the diameters of the pins/clips that you want. Each wiring diagram tells you what diameter wire and color wire you need to look for. I assume this is to help "clarify" if there are similar colored wires next to each other. I agree with Alpine, more info on what you want would help.

Pins for the headlight connector, all I want to know is what the numbers on real OEM mean. If you know please share, if not no need to give other information (That would be aimed at volkswagen ).

Right but what do the numbers themselves mean, "5,2 X 0,63 1.0-2.5MM" I know this one is about half a centimeter wide and about a centimeter or more long (the pin). Of the pins I know none of the numbers really match up to dimensions.

The 1.0-2.5MM sounds plausible for a wire diameter the pin can be securely crimped to. Maybe the 5.2 x 0.62 dimension is the pin in mm? 5.2mm long and 0.62mm diameter, excluding the crimp collar.

Looking at the diagram this seems more likely -- #s 1-4 seem to have the same size pin (maybe not specified because the description "pin" defaults to a particular size?) with different size/shape wire attachments.

Right but I have 61138364833 and it doesn't meet those numbers in CM MM or inches. Neither the pin lengthxwidth or overall. :/

The gauge seems about right though.

your number seems like a part number...the numbers on the site are wire diameters and pin sizes...

Man, now I'm completely mystified. I'm looking through the AMP connectors catalog (realoem says your part is "system AMP") and I can't find any loose contact that's defined dimensionally.

My next best guess is that it's a reference to which connector system the pin is for, but damned if I can figure out the "0,62" part. 5.2mm is 0.2 in, which is a plausible pin spacing for a matrix connector... but I'm really grasping at straws here

Maybe measure the housing and see if any of the numbers line up?

I gave up and ordered every single one of them.

Lol they are not the pin dimension (or at least not in any standard unit of measure) as I already said but good guess. I have no idea why that was not the very first thing I thought of. Oh wait..

yes it is...take the number 1 for instance...the first number is a 2-5mm wire diameter..the 2nd number is .75mm inside pin diameter for what fits INTO the pin...number 2 is the male end for that female thats number 1...hence the same diameters...

O Cha chill out man. He's a BMW tech, I'd listen to him. You should be very glad that someone with some real experience is actually answering your questions instead of us idiots who have absolutely no idea what pins even are.

No he's not helping at all just restating things that have already been stated by others and myself and not the actual question.

if im restating things then im sorry but it seems to me like youd get more help if you CLEARLY state what it is that your looking for...and instead of using some stupid website on the internet maybe you should hit up your local parts dept or speak with a tech about what it is that you really are trying to accomplish considering i stated to you every part of information thats stated on that page..
