I agree, they go well and similar size to a 2 series. Probably the best one yet particularly with a tune. Sedan as well.

There are rumours of an RS3 sedan which will be a tempting buy and I think looks the biz:

I'm not really a fan of the hatch.

Like the look of that ... I loved the b7 rs4 sedans and upset they didn't come out in the sedan version only wagon in the current shape so the rs3 look the goods in the sedan

I fail to see how it was a downgrade seeing as the S3 would have blown the doors off your 335i..

S3s running a simple tune only are running 0-100 times in the 3 second bracket..

Interior is a much nicer place to be in an 8v s3 also!

That is true.. however for me the 0-100s were the only appealing part of the car - which wasnt enough for me to stay in it.

I'm curious what the disappointing factors were for you?
From what I've read these 8V S3/Mk7 R engines produce about 240-250kw to the wheels with just a tune. That's mental for a stock 2L (excluding the A45 of course).

Dont get me wrong they have so much potential.

Dissapointing factors -
4 cyl
beautiful but bland interior
there's one on every corner
didnt enjoy the driving position

Im very picky and to most people this wouldnt be an issue but for me it was :/

Fair enough. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Maybe with a decent exhaust and some fancy interior bits it could change the car a bit. I totally understand wanting to be different though. I prefer unique cars too.
